David and Lisa Joffrion - 2010

A huge hit at their first CFO in 2009, David and Lisa Joffrion will be returning to Alabama CFO to lead us on a new spiritual journey of "Finding the Secret Place". The Joffrions bring together a myriad of experiences, knowledge and talents for God's glory . David and Lisa live in Colorado Springs where they work for Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Strategic Frontiers focusing on the nation of Nepal. Lisa works as the Home front Director for the Nepali Strategic Alliance, while David serves as CFO, Secretary-treasurer and board member of YWAM Strategic Frontiers. Together, their work in Nepal over the past 7 years has included teaching, training, administration, and helping to raise funds for orphanages, church planting, community development, primary health care and working with street kids and HIV victims. This past spring, David and Lisa were called away from their ministry to Nepal to lead a YWAM team of 19 young adults on a "Discovery in Prayer" journey to Turkey for 11 weeks. They were awed to visit the 7 churches in Revelation and to see God's hand move in so many mysterious ways in this Muslim nation.

Prior to their work together in the mission field in Nepal, David received his bachelors and Masters degree in Social work from Oral Roberts University and LSU respectively. At ORU, he worked in the spiritual Life department in various leadership positions as a student chaplain. In his senior year, David was honored when Dr. Bob Stamps, ORU's chaplain asked him to lead the Sunday evening student Vespers Service for 2,000 students. David has mentored young men on an ongoing basis for over 30 years. He has worked in the Insurance and Financial Planning profession for twenty five years.

Lisa's educational background was in Broadcast Journalism at LSU. She worked in retail for 13 years and as a nightclub DJ in various clubs over an 18 year period. Following her conversion in 1999, Lisa felt God calling her into full time missions. David and Lisa met in 2000 and were married in June of 2001 shortly after Lisa completed her YWAM Discipleship Training School. David has 3 grown daughters who reside in San Francisco. Lisa has 2 children, a son and a daughter.
