We believe at Alabama CFO in helping as many people as possible to experience CFO. We strive to work with Camp Sumatanga to keep costs as low as possible, and try to structure the fees and costs under our control in a way that encourages campers.
In spite of those efforts, we realize that some people who would like to attend may not be able to for financial reasons. So for may years, it has been an Alabama CFO policy to make financial aid available in the form of "scholarships" to "first time campers". These scholarships cover at least part of the camp charges for room & board.
One of the CFO principles, however, is that even those receiving scholarships should demonstrate a commitment to the camp. Thus, scholarships do not include registration fees.
Scholarship applications, using the form below, must be sent to the camp secretary, and received by May 1 in order to be considered. Applications may be sent via USPS or email.

Discount Vouchers
In 2008, the Association of Camps Farthest Out (ACFO) began offering discount vouchers to "first time campers" attending CFO's that met certain qualifications.
